For the initial installation of the Quick Rack Light, the mounting points are screwed into the matching luggage carrier threads. The luggage rack can be hooked onto this and then firmly connected to the seat post. The Quick Rack Light is then attached. For bikes without the corresponding threaded mounts on the rear triangle, there is an optional seat post mounting set.

Despite its purist design, the Quick Rack Light from Ortlieb is a fully-fledged luggage rack. The 10mm thick horizontal stays can carry 15 kilograms of luggage. All standard panniers can be easily attached to them. The rear arch also has a holder for rear lights. For maximum suitability for everyday use, Quick Rack mudguards can even be mounted. Of course, none of this changes the function of the bike.
